Last week, John Potter presented on ethical issues in elder law at a continuing eduction program on Advanced Elder Law. John spoke to a group of attorneys and accountants in Asheville as part of the program. John addressed the ethical issues that arise in practicing elder law and how to address those issues. Among the topics discussed were confidentiality rules, conflicts of interest, and working with individuals who have diminished capacity, particularly dementia-related limitations. John is the attorney in the Charlotte-Ballantyne and Huntersville, NC offices of the Potter Law Firm and regularly speaks to the public on estate planning and elder law topics.
